Dear [%tcfn%],
During this difficult time, we believe that it is more important than ever that students receive the benefits of their music education. As teachers, you know very well how music provides a point of focus, a calming influence, and a sense of accomplishment and joy.
We are very pleased to say that we have found a solution that will allow virtually all examination candidates to take an online exam this year as planned. Today, your students will receive this email regarding their Keyboard Harmony exam which contains information about their Remote Practical Exam and options related to your students’ specific examination.
Second, many of you are now teaching remotely as a means of continuing lessons. You may be experienced in online teaching or it might be something relatively new to you. We want to help to make the experience as rewarding and effective as possible. Therefore, starting on April 20th, we will be providing an in-depth six-part program available to all teachers for free that will provide an extensive guide to teaching online. Online teaching is simply not the same as in-person lessons, but the realities of the current environment leaves it as the only means available and we want to help all of you to maximize your comfort and increase the effectiveness of this format.
We will also be offering a session on How to Teach Music Online and making available our Online Theory Guides Levels 5-8 for free until September 2020. You simply need to complete your profile in the Teacher Directory to access the session and guides. We will also offer the Teacher Portal resources for free until September 2020.
At this time, we ask for your patience as we work through the details involved. Thank you for your ongoing support and understanding as we navigate through this situation.
Sincerely,
